Spitited Away

Hello guys! Sorry I never posted yesterday, I wasn't feeling too well but never mind I'll post today! So today instead of writing about an animated movie, I'm going to write about an anime movie! So this is the first anime related thing I ever watched, Spirited Away by Studio Ghibli.

Spirited away is about a 10 year old girl names Chihiro who is encountered the Spirit World with her parents when her Father got lost trying to find the new house they were moving to. Chihiro's parents turned into pigs for greedily eating the Spirits food while Chihiro starts to disappear. She meets a Spirit boy named Haku who tells her she has to eat Spirit food offered to her in order for her to not disappear, also that if she ever wants to leave with her parents she will have to work in the Bath House and recommends to go see the boiler man Kamaji. Kamaji has no jobs and bribes a Bath House worker Lin to take Chihiro to to witch who runs the Bath House Yubaba. Yubaba agrees to give Chihiro a job but bounds her to a contract by stealing her name and giving her the new same Sin. She works in the Bath House and a number events happen and the Spirits start to warm up to her whereas before they all despised humans. She helps a river spirit who was polluted, accidentally lets a dangerous spirit named No-Face into the bath house and breaks the contract between Haku, who is actually called Kohaku who is also a river spirit, and Yubaba. Chihiro also breaks her own contract and is allowed to return home with a promise from Haku that they would meet again!

Now I usually give descriptions of all the main characters but Chihiro is a pretty simple girl so I'll just give a description of Haku!

Look Guys, I gave you a GIF!

Initially shown to be most kindhearted, caring and compassionate, Haku serves as one of the factor's of Chihiro's massive growth of character throughout the film. He is considerate, crafting rice balls for Chihiro knowing that she would be hungry and going out of his way to show Chihiro her cursed parents. In Yubaba's presence however, Haku changes from a kindhearted person to a stoic, cold and strictly professional inidividual, treating everyone (including Chihiro) with sternness so as not to arouse suspicion in Yubaba. - Took from Studio Ghibi Wiki

Now, many fans of this movie have requested for a sequel but Studio Ghibli has never made a sequel to any of their movies. When I found this out I was pretty gutted but on Fanfiction.net someone has written what they would assume to be the sequel of this fantastic movie! Is a positively amazing story and I would recommend it to any Spirited Away fans! I'll leave a link at the bottom of the post!

One of the main interests about this movie is the relationship between Haku and Chihiro. The closest to any love interest between the pair is Kamaji saying to Lin while Chihiro is taking care of injured Haku that she doesn't recognize that Chihiro loves Haku. There is a lot of fan art and fan fictions about these two that I highly support, here is some art for you guys!

This one actually happened in the movie! Cute Huh?

Now I will end this post with a picture of a Haku as a dragon... I never did mention he turns into a dragon did I? Oh well here's Haku the Dragon!

Hotel Transylvania

Hello people! Today I'm going to write about a amazing movie 'Hotel Transylvania' by Sony Picture Animation. Holy Rabies I love this movie, it basically takes the piss out of what monsters original purpose was. Nobody is scared of Vampires and Werewolves anymore, instead people want to date them...DAMN YOU TWILIGHT!

Hotel Transylvania starts of with Count Dracula, voiced by Adam Sandler, raising his vampire daughter Mavis, voiced by Selena Gomez. During this time he was having a hotel built to protect monsters from humans but most importantly to protect his daughter. Years into the future it's nearly Mavis' 118th birthday and Dracula has invited monsters to come and celebrate. Mavis has never been outside and she wants to see new things, Dracula promised her when she was younger that she could when she became 118. Dracula tells her to go to a nearby village for a test on whether or not she could handle the humans but the village is a scam built by Dracula to scare Mavis into staying in the hotel forever, which works! At the hotel a human boy walks into the hotel  and Dracula tries to get him to leave, this human named Johnny, voiced by Andy Samberg, discovers the monsters are real where he previously believed he entered a fancy costume party. The rest of the movie consists of Johnny changing the lives of the monsters, teaching Dracula how to have fun, showing the monsters how times have changed and falling in love with Mavis.

Count Dracula - Adam Sandler

Dracula is strong, dominant, handsome, charismatic and over-controlling, but he's actually a funny and cool guy once you get to know him. He is also a softy when it comes to Mavis, and is rather overprotective of her. However, when Jonathan enters the castle and takes a shine to Mavis (and after befriending Jonathan), Dracula finally comes to realize that his daughter's happiness is more important and allows them to date.Due to the century of running Hotel Transyvania and keeping it generally isolated from humankind, Dracula is somewhat ignorant of how the outside world has changed since 1898. As a result, he is initally confused with some of Johnny's remarks and the technology he brings with him, such as his smartphone and his contact lenses. He had a few misconceptions about humans, based on his outdated belief that humans would always hate monsters.

Mavis Dracula - Selena Gomez

Mavis is totally pampered by her father; however, she is headstrong and smart, and in many ways, a typical 118-year-old teenage girl. She is grown slightly bored with the domain of her childhood — she has lived within her father’s hotel and its grounds all her life — and she longs to travel, experience life and see the world but, once she meets Jonnystein (Jonathan) and they "have a zing" nothing will be the same.

Johnny

Jonathan is an easy-going, happy-go-lucky young man whose presence breathes new life into the monster world, yet he is unaware that he is the catalyst of change. He simply points out things that are going on around him that the others should have recognized long ago, helping other characters discover a path to change their perspectives, in a non-threatening way."

Aww, Johnny is my favorite character, he's just an adorable idiot! Anyway, at the end of this fantastic film the main monsters and Johnny sing a little song! Here is is for you guys! I own nothing remember!

Well, to conclude I love this movie, I cannot find anything I can complain on and hopefully everyone loves it just as much as I do! See you next time, and just to top it off here is a picture of the monsters!

Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons - My First Post

Hello and Welcome to my first blog! I'm new to this so feedback would be appreciate it!

So for my first blog I'm going to talk about my FAVORITE crossover Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons A.K.A. How to Train your Brave Tangled Guardian A.K.A. The Big Four. I became a fan about Easter this year and totally fell in love with it! This crossover consists of (if your couldn't guess) the main characters of each of these movies.

Jack Frost

First up in the group is Jack Frost from 'Rise of the Guardians' by Dreamworks. Jack is an immortal supernatural being much like the Guardians. Unlike the others, however, he is a loner, the classic rebel without a cause, sarcastic and mischievous. He has incredible control over ice and the cold. He is a spirit of games and fun times, but when at last he discovered the purpose behind his amazing powers, he became a true Guardian, representing Fun. - Took from 'Rise of the Guardians Wiki'

In the crossover he is considered the leader. The story the fans have made in this crossover is that jack is first seen by Hiccup, Merida and Rapunzel.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III

Secondly we have Hiccup from 'How to Train your Dragon' also by Dreamworks. Among the other teenage Vikings, Hiccup first comes off as awkward, mainly because he is a poor fighter, and rather scrawny for a Viking. As he becomes more adept at fighting dragons, however, they start paying more attention to him, some even starting to try to talk to him first. Despite this, Hiccup remains shy and secretive, preferring to be alone with Toothless, likely because he is unused to all the positive attention. He also tends to be sarcastic with a dry sense of humor that can sometimes put him at odds with the other Vikings in his tribe. - Took from 'How to Train your Dragon Wiki'

In the crossover he is known as The Viking. In some cases in this fandom, the fans have made Hiccup, Merida and Rapunzel Guardians. Hiccup has been known to be the Guardian of Change or the Guardian of the Beasts.

Merida Dunbroch

Thirdly we have Merida from 'Brave' by Disney.Princess Merida is the 16-year old tomboyish daughter of a queen who rules the kingdom alongside her husband. Queen Elinor's expectations of her daughter make Merida see Elinor as being distant while also causing friction between the 2. Despite Elinor's desire to see Merida as a proper royal lady, Merida is an impetuous girl who wants to take control of her own destiny. Merida has honed her skill in archery, and is one of the most skilled archers ever seen. She is also skilled in sword-fighting and racing across the countryside on her horse, Angus. Despite her outgoing, forceful personality, Merida does have a softness of heart, particularly when it comes to her triplet brothers.  - Took from 'Disney Wiki'

In the crossover, Merida is known as the Soldier and has a frienemy relationship with Jack Frost. As a Guardian, Merida is known as the Guardian of Courage.

Princess Rapunzel of Corona

Lastly we have Rapunzel from 'Tangled' also by Disney. Rapunzel is not a typical Disney Princess; she carries her signature blonde hair, which is 70 feet long, which becomes 10 feet long when plaited, and has the magical ability to both heal and reverse aging when she sings a special Healing Incantation song. Kidnapped by Mother Gothel when she was still an infant, Rapunzel had been raised and locked away in a tall tower up until her 18th birthday, however, she does view Mother Gothel as her maternal mother despite being kidnapped. Being immensely fascinated by the floating lanterns that took place on her birthday every year, Rapunzel begins to develop a sense of curiosity and seeks to fulfill the dream of seeing those "lights in the sky" one day. However, she does not overcome Mother Gothel's strict guardianship and thus has been staying in the tower, longing for the day when her life "begins". - Took from 'Disney Wiki'
In the crossover, Rapunzel is known as the healer and personally I think of her as a bit of a Damsel in Distress. As a Guardian, Rapunzel is known as the guardian of Creativity.

Well that's character Introductions, now for a little idea of how people see the fandom, but instead of more reading for you I'm going to show you a fan made trailer from Youtube. I do not own this video and do not claim copyright!

Cool huh? Now in any and every fandom there is...shipping! Now I've seen All the Shipping for this:- Jacunzel, Merijack, Hijack, Mericup, Hicunzel and Meripunzel! My favorite shippings are:-

Yep, well that's all I have to say for today! Thank you for reading and stay tuned for my next random topic!
